Allentown

Allentown

Allentown is a historic district in Buffalo, New York. Since 1980, it has held a slot on the National Registry of Historic Places. In comparison to the nation’s residential historic neighborhoods, Allentown is one of the oldest and the largest.

This is the perfect town for sightseeing on foot, and some of the goodies your student group will spot are the Allendale Theatre where silent movies were featured more than a century ago, the Elmwood Strip which fulfills the shopping urges of your team, and an 1870s mansion that present-day exists as a renovated luxury hotel. “Victorian” describes the architecture of homes, shops, and establishments peppered throughout the streets, where the heritage of America is stronger than ever. This is where mom and pop stores thrive, and the dream of jiving yesterday with tomorrow is real.
