Within this animal conservation museum, you will find the largest collection of different species of rattlesnakes on public exhibit in the world, the museum also holding an astounding array of rattlesnakes art, artifacts and memorabilia. This Old Town Albuquerque museum staple is devoted to snakes, particularly rattlesnakes, and is dedicated to rattlesnake education in general. You will find 34 different species of rattlers inside, from the Baja Californian to the Costa Rican.
Several various exhibits and films dedicated to rattlesnakes from across the world will be found within, the informational opportunities providing exciting and educational experiences that your group won't soon forget. Learn about the hundreds of ways that snakes and other ‘less desirables’ have influenced our lives through artifacts, memorabilia, and the rattlesnake collection itself. This spot actually hosts more species of rattlesnakes than the Bronx Zoo, Philadelphia Zoo, National Zoo, Denver Zoo, San Francisco Zoo, and San Diego Zoo combined. Northern, Central, and South American snakes are represented with re-created habitats, the myths, mysteries, and phobias of each explained and explored in each.
