Spend the day in one of two nearby theme parks: Hershey Park -

Hershey Park - Opened in 1906 and located in Derry Township, PA, Hershey Park is a family theme park as classic as a Hershey chocolate bar! This chocolate-themed park sits 95 miles west of Philly, 15 miles east of Harrisburg and holds 121 acres of fun, including 13 roller coasters and 14 water rides. Enjoy thrill rides, kids' activities, dining, live shows, and all things cocoa while here, learning all about Milton S Hershey's life and legacy all the while. Spend some quality time at the 11 acre, 200 animal Zooamerica section, the boardwalk, waterpark, or Hershey's Chocolate World, the premier spot in the park where you can ride the trolley, taste the chocolate, create your own bar, tour, shop, or sit back and enjoy an immersive 4D chocolate mystery on the big screen. After you’ve ridden all the rides and tasted all the chocolate you’d like to head over to the beautiful 23-acre gardens area, catch a live falconry demonstration, or go eat at any of the many delicious onsite eateries such as Chickies and Pete's or Founders. Insider Tip: If you are a thrill seeker be sure to save time to ride Skyrush a few times before you go!

Dorney Park - A little bit closer to the resort is Dorney Park and the Wildwater Kingdom, in Allentown, PA. This amusement and waterpark combo is owned and operated by Cedar Fair and provides just as many thrilling options as Hershey, with a little less chocolate and a lot more water! Explore the entire theme park and find plenty of thrill rides, roller coasters, family games, water slides, and even the highly popular Planet Snoopy. Dorney Park also hosts several award-winning live entertainment shows, as well as some really excellent dining opportunities. This park is perfect for youth programs, schools, or other large groups looking to relax in a safe and fun environment. Pack your swim gear for the over 3 dozen slides, pools, rivers, and water-filled play areas and save plenty of time for the 10 family rides within Planet Snoopy. Once you’ve worked up an appetite head over to Center State Fries, Burger Barn, or Amore Pizza to fuel up, and be sure you save plenty of time to visit the interactive, educational, and animatronic dino park called Dinosaurs Alive, featuring over 30 life-sized creatures, some at over 40 feet tall!
