Sandia Peak Tramway - Albuquerque holds some of the most iconic desert scenery, unbelievable mountainside vistas, and incredible canyon views in the entire state, and all of these things can be seen at your next exciting stop, the Sandia Peak Tramway. Considered to be the absolute longest aerial tramway in North America, this aerial adventure is a must-do for any visitor to the city, the exhilarating ride showing off all the city has to offer in one swift trip. Running from the northeast edge of Albuquerque to the Crestline of the Sandia Mountains, this entire course measures at 2.7 miles, the world’s third longest single-span tramway trip.

Turquoise Museum - A visit to this 40-year old museum center will teach you the history of the gem, the vast variety of specimens, and even give you an extensive look at turquoise gem mining across the world.The Turquoise Museum is located on Central Avenue within a small strip mall just west of Old Town. You will find the museum, an education center, an active silversmith shop, and even a gift shop within the area, the latter selling historical and contemporary gem pieces that will certainly catch your eye. You can visit a working lapidary shop as well, a spot in which turquoise is polished.

Old Town Albuquerque Tour - Old Town Albuquerque is one of the absolute oldest established sites in North America, first founded in 1706 (that’s 70 years before the United States became a country!). History and GHOST Tours of Old Town will show you all they know about the ‘sights, sounds, flavors, people, shops, products, places, photo opportunities, and all things unique’ about Old Town, which is a lot, trust us! Tour options last anywhere from 75 minutes to 2 hours and take groups on leisurely strolls through the streets and alleys of the town, immersing them directly into the Land of Enchantment. You can choose between a private group tour or the basic High Noon History Tour, the latter of which lasting anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes and covering the expanse of 1 mile (offered daily at 12 pm).

Nob Hill Main Street - Popular shopping and dining sitting right alongside popular historic landmarks and attractions will greet you at your next stop, Historic Nob Hill Main Street.This historic district is located along Route 66, making the spot iconic both for modern commercial purposes and historic cultural purposes. Commercially you will find everything from roasted chilis and fresh flowers to boots and local jewelry, with an extremely wide variety of local shops, galleries, and boutiques lining the busy streets. You’ll surely work up an appetite doing all that shopping, so save time to dine in a gourmet eatery or perhaps just grab fast food while you walk, the area holding enough eatery options to please even the pickiest eaters in your group.

AlbuCreepy Downtown Ghost Walk - During this 100-minute tour your group will walk through Albuquerque’s darkest downtown secrets, from tales of lovers with a vengeance to mysterious soldier interactions, and all things of the like. With a troubled past of public hangings, bloody duels, and monstrous murders, Albuquerque is truly a creepy place to explore!The 1.3-mile tour path will take you to 8 different downtown locations, some of the more ‘haunted’ ones including the KiMo Theater, Old Bernalillo County Courthouse, Wool Warehouse, and old Red Light District, or ‘Hell’s Half Acre’. You will even get to actually go inside The Factory’s basement, one of the most purportedly haunted spots in the city.

Indian Pueblo Cultural Center - This expansive informational center is dedicated to the ‘preservation and perpetuation of Pueblo culture, history, and art’, a highly regarded Blue Star Museum that will teach you all there is to know about this unique culture. Every day from 9 am to 5 pm you can explore the various permanent and rotating exhibits within, the museum using pottery, arts and crafts, jewelry, and more to best explain the culture, history, and modern day practices. The artifacts from local tribes combined with the thousands of rare artifacts and works of art within the permanent collection make for a seriously impressive collection of information.

Lunch at Pueblo Harvest Cafe - Eat traditional Pueblo foods at the onsite eatery, the Pueblo Harvest Cafe. The menu is seasonally evolving, the New Native American Cuisine combining traditional seasonal Pueblo flavors with contemporary cooking methods. In presenting this modernly delicious and traditionally flavored food the center aims to prove that these plates are a ‘living and vibrant part of the modern food world’.

516 Arts - This chic museum-style art gallery features established, emerging, local, and international artists on a regularly changing exhibit schedule, the gallery working hard to provide a wide range of interesting works consistently. You will find several different programs inside that ‘inspire curiosity, dialogue, risk taking, and creative experimentation’, making this the perfect stop for all the art gurus and creative souls in your student group. Not only will you find these unique exhibits and programs inside, but you will also find specifically created educational activities, lectures, public events, and workshops.
