Hummingbird Zipline Course

Hummingbird Zipline Course first opened in 2013 at the Gulf State Park but closed in 2016 to move to its current location. With its move, it gained 1 more zip line and twice the length it once had, spanning 6,000 feet here at its new location. You will reach speeds of up to 30mph and heights of 115 feet as you enjoy the 2.5-hour tour over bays, the Intracoastal Waterway, and protected wetland. The zips end on the Wharf's Main Street.

The Wharf at Orange Beach

The Wharf at Orange Beach is one of the best places to take your group while in the area for shopping, dining, entertainment, and live events! When it comes to shopping, your group will have plenty to choose from, with several locally owned boutiques and specialty shops selling everything from fashion and home decor to sports gear and souvenirs. Some popular shops here are Salt Coastal Outfitters, Ooh La La, Ocean Eddies, and Fric N Frac. Dining options certainly won't disappoint either, the Wharf offering fine dining options, casual southern flair options, and local seafood favorites. Eat at the Boat Bar, Sugar Shack, Bayes, or Blue Water BBQ Co (plus many more), depending on what kind of mood you are in! As far as entertainment goes, there are seemingly endless options. Spend some time at a spa or salon for some relaxation, then head to the 15 screen movie theater. There is an 18-hole mini-golf course, The Wharf Mini Golf, an onsite arcade (The Arena) with plenty of fun options for kids and adults alike, and even escape game options at Breakout Orange Room. At night the Wharf comes alive with SPECTRA, a nightly choreographed Sound and Light Spectacular along the palm-lined main street, as well as the Amphitheater, which hosts regular concerts and comedians.

Beach Time at Gulf Shores

The Gulf Shores Public Beach, or Gulf Place, is a stretch of tranquil coastline perfect for beach recreation or relaxation. All along this beach, you will find beach eateries, beach boutique stores, pavilions, picnic areas, volleyball, and watersports options, as well as rentals for parasailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, surfing, and skimboarding. There are bikes, buggies, and beach wheelchairs available for rent, or you can simply dig your toes into the gorgeous white sand and relax for the day! There are plenty of eating options during your stay, a couple of our favorite options being Bahama Bob's Beachside Cafe or Sea N Suds. Bahama Bob's serves up delicious fresh fish, shrimp, and specialty burgers (try the pineapple and bacon burger), and Sea N Suds has all the southern classics like gumbo and crab claws!

Sand Castle University

Sand Castle University in Alabama's Gulf Shores specializes in teaching sandcastle building techniques to all ages, providing a really unique learning experience on the beach! They provide 'the best tools, tips, and tricks of building amazing sandcastles', and the best part is they come right to your personal beach location! The team will help you make a 'truly unique piece of beach art', providing you with the instruction, equipment, and even a free time-lapse video of your group's experience!

The Factory Gulf Shores

Believe it or not, The Factory used to actually be a factory in the 80s! In 2013 the building was bought by the original owner's daughter and repurposed into 'something that would bring family and friends together to make a positive impact on the community'. And that is exactly what you will find here today! Here's what you can do during your visit:

Open Jump
Arcade Games
Trapeze
Mega Slide
Xtreme Dodgeball
Ninja Obstacle Course
Adrenaline Jump
Foam Pits
Flight Simulator

The Estuarium

The Estuarium at The Dauphin Island Sea Lab is an exciting and highly educational public aquarium that showcases the plants, animals, and other natural resources found in the Estuary and its surroundings. An integral part of the Dauphin Sea Lab, the Estuarium highlights 4 key habitats of coastal Alabama; Mobile Tensaw River Delta, Mobile Bay, Barrier Islands, and Northern Gulf of Mexico. During your visit your group will explore these 4 areas educationally through the over 31 aquariums throughout the facility, totaling to over 30,000 gallons and over 100 different species. See a 10,000 square foot Exhibit Hall, the 7,000-gallon Stingray Touch Pool, and take a stroll along the Living Marsh Boardwalk.
