Carleen Bright Arboretum
Sometimes referred to as the 'hidden jewel of Woodway', this arboretum displays local seasonal flora, with everything from demo and rose gardens to local tree-lined paths. To be more specific, here are just a few things you will find here: Massey Meditation Grove, Rose Garde, Two Demo Gardens - Texas Superstar Bed and Trailside Gardens, an amphitheater and Covered Gazebo.
Lake Waco
This lake makes up the western city border, with its dam sitting on the Bosque River. It serves as the halfway point between Dallas and Houston (1.5 hours each way). While here your group will have so many options for activities! Here are just a few: Boating, jet ski, water ski, fish, swim, birdwatch, hike, bike, and so many more.
BSR Cable Park
This fun water recreation spot is part cable park, part water park, part surf resort, and all fun!! Let us break it down for you: At the Surf Resort, your group will be able to break up into much smaller groups and experience the state of the art American Wave Machines and enter a 'Candyland for surfers' as they try to master the waves! The Cable Park itself is the main attraction, just be ready to rent a life jacket, board, and helmet, as well as a 2 hour, a 4 hour, or an all-day pass.

Cameron Park Zoo
First established in 1993, this zoo quickly became a leader in standards in animal care and management, providing the best training, nutrition, veterinary services, and life enrichment that they and the AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) can give. Inside the zoo, your group will see over 1700 animals representing 300 different species. You can head to the Asian Forest to see the endangered Orangutan, Sumatran Tiger, or Komodo Dragon, then head to see Kai the lion. Other habitats/exhibits include Gibbon Island, Bald Eagle Habitat, South America, African Savanna, and Lemur Island.
Cameron Park
With unbeatable local views, unbeatable access to local attractions and recreation, and an unbeatable location right between Downtown Waco and the Brazos River, we really couldn't let your group go to Waco without stopping here! Resilient trees, access to 2 rivers, gorgeous cliffs, and a national recreational trail system make up most of this park space, but there are also many different playgrounds, pavilions, and scenic cliff overlooks we think are worth mentioning.
Waco Pedal Tour
Waco Pedal Tours is a new business led by Captain Danny, this fact-filled tour guide steering the 14-person pedal bike 'party bus' with ease all throughout downtown. The U shaped bar top makes this bicycle super easy to power, plus you get to socialize and sightsee without all the hassle of knowing where you're going.The most popular daily tour offered is the Around the Town Tour, offered at 3 pm every day next to the Waco Escape Rooms. This tour will last about 2 hours and take you to 4 local sites, stores, and boutiques worth seeing.
Waco Mammoth National Monument
Sitting along the Bosque River, this gorgeous area was a common ground for hiking, wildlife watching, and arrowhead hunting, the latter of which happened to be the activity taking place in 1978 when the first fossil was stumbled upon. From 1978 to 1990 the area was excavated, some of the remains even left in the spots they were originally found (in situ). You will see the remains of a female mammoth, Bull mammoth, a dwarf antelope, American alligator, saber-toothed cat, and even a 67,000-year-old camel!

Baylor University
Baylor University is a member of the Big 12 Conference, allowing students and guests to enjoy Division I athletics on a regular basis. The Bears have quite the local following, as well as quite the reputation for intense rivalries. There are two different options for a student visit. Either your group 1). contains several prospective seniors or juniors interested in the specifics of attending the university, or 2). simply wants to visit the campus and see one of Texas' best schools.
Bill and Eva Williams Bear Habitat
The Bear Pit is considered to be the 'most visited place on campus', this Class C Zoo maintained by the US Dept of Agriculture, students within several different departments on campus, and professional trainers. There is absolutely no question about the care for these bears, they are certainly spoiled and happy! The two bears you will see are named Joy and Lady, both North American Black Bears. There is a walkway around their enclosure to watch them swim, eat, or play, as well as a private cave, cooled to their liking.
Waco River Safari
Waco River Safari takes guests on a 2-hour scenic river history tour, one half of the tour focusing on the history of the area and how the Brazos shaped Waco today, the other half focusing solely on the natural beauty of the river and banks. Bring your camera, because you are going to see Blue Herons, Turtles, Racoons, and many more local critters along the way!
Indian Spring
This park is located in Downtown Waco just west of the Brazos River, the park holding the historic Waco Suspension Bridge within its confines, as well as the 'Branding the Brazos' Statue series. Robert Summers was the artists behind this grand display, with 3 bronze riders and 25 longhorns representing the Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive.
