National Aquarium

20,000 Animals. 800 Species. One Aquarium.

Your group is going to absolutely love their experience at the National Aquarium, the place where you will be able to "learn about animals from all over our blue planet—from the depths of the ocean to the canopy of the rain forest—and discover the connection they all share with water."

This aquarium is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire the conservation of the world's aquatic treasures, something it does quite well by promoting public participation and enjoyment in its various exhibits, activities, and onsite animal experiences. There will be such a whirlwind of things to see during your visit, such as blacktip reef sharks, whiptail rays, 500-pound sea turtles, zebra sharks, moon jellies, sand dollars, and so much more.

Discover shore secrets through interactive digital touch-table games, or perhaps take a group tour, offered daily for guests of all ages. Our favorite is the Behind-The-Scenes Tour, in which you will have the opportunity to learn about what it takes to care for these animals daily.

Another one of our favorite experiences to suggest to school groups is the Dolphin Encounter, the fun experience where visitors will take a tour of the Dolphin Discovery exhibit and learn how the marine team teaches these amazing creatures. Enjoy a hands-on experience with one of the aquarium’s Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, and at the end of the encounter, you will receive a commemorative photo of your visit and a shirt.
