So, you're thinking of going to college in the Sunshine State?

Outside of outstanding athletics, professional academics, and amazing outdoor recreation options at these schools you also have the unique ecosystem, state history, and culture of Florida in general. This is a state where you don't have to travel to see (or play) great college sports, you don't have to worry about the weather canceling classes during the winter, and last but certainly not least, you don't have to plan on going anywhere else for Spring Break!   • University of Miami - Coral Gables

    This private, suburban campus in Southern Florida holds 239 acres of education, recreation, and really great campus fun! First founded in 1925, most of the housing you will see here during your tour is modeled directly after Oxford and Cambridge. There are over 250 clubs and organizations on campus, not to mention the excellent athletics and outdoor recreation options here.     Located in the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the United States, Flagler College is a special unique one. Here on this private suburban campus in Northeastern Florida, you will find over 30 clubs and organizations. While Flagler doesn't offer any Greek affiliated clubs, they do hold the Ponce De Leon Hall, a National Historic Landmark, an NCAA Division II team, and the unique opportunity for every first-year student to travel to Disney World.   • University of Florida - Gainesville

    Over 2,000 acres await you in just outside of Gainesville at the #50 Nationally Ranked U.S College, the University of Florida. This semester-based popular university was founded in1853, probably most noted for its long-standing record in athletics. The Florida Gators hold a high standing within the NCAA Division I SE Conference, Albert the Alligator leading them to several victories. The Ben Hill Griffin Stadium or 'The Swamp' became famous in 1966 after partnering with Gatorade, the current 'Gator Growl' known as the largest student-run pep rally in the world. Oh, what about the academics, you ask? Engineering, business, law, and medicine top the charts in areas of study here!

    Head to Tallahassee to seeone of the most popular schools in Florida, Florida State University. FSU was founded in 1851 and is a more city-based campus of 476 acres total. This massive public school campus benefits from sitting in the state's capital and having both excellent Outdoor Pursuits Programs and Athletics within the NCAA Division I Atlantic Coast Conference. This school is high 'tradition dominant' in sports, but it also provides amazing study abroad in Spain and Italy, as well as fantastic academics in the business, law, medicine, and engineering departments.

  • University of Southern Florida - Tampa

    Down in Tampa, you'll find an absolutely huge campus of 1,562 acres, a public, urban school first built-in 1956. This school is semester based and is considered to be a research institution, with multiple campuses throughout Florida (Sarasota and St. Petersburg). There are over 400 clubs and greek organizations here, not to mention really excellent medical, graduate engineering, and education academics.
