Crank Up Your Bucket List

Everyone has a bucket list. See the Great Pyramids, Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon. Go sky-diving, learn to surf, climb a mountain. These are all excellent bulletpoints for your list -- but maybe you should consider taking it up a notch. Here are a few ideas!

1. Eat a $200 Hamburger

Why not start off by partaking in the deadly sin of gluttony? Live a little! 60 Degrees Mastercrafter, a restaurant in Dallas, offers an Akaushi rib-eye steak, seared foie-gras, caramelized onion, bordelaise, sautéed mushrooms, and shaved truffles, served on -- why not -- a bun made with 24 karat gold!

2. Eat at The French Laundry

Don't let the name throw you off -- The French Laundry is claimed by many to be the best restaurant in the world. This "French and contemporary American Food Lab" is located in the Napa Valley, and only has 17 tables, so reservations should be made at least two months in advance to get a seat. Oh, and then there's the $295 nine-course fixed price menu to save up for. Start entering the lotto now!

3. Take a Jet Fighter Ride

Flying a plane is a pretty cool experience as it is -- now try riding in a lightening-fast, twist-and-turning fighter jet. For a chance at steep turns, dives, rolls and loops, head to MiGFlug & Adventure near Tampa, and at Fighter Combat International in Phoenix, Arizona.

4. Hike a Hawaiian Volcano

Get up close and personal with active, bubbling volcanoes at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, located on the Big Island. More than 150 miles of trails offer the opportunity to view three massive pits of lava.
