Fort Lauderdale

South Florida is filled with an overwhelming amount of options for what are all claimed to be the ‘best beaches’, especially around the Keys/ Fort Lauderdale area. The beach we’ve chosen may not be the most popular or the most populated, but that’s exactly why we like it, especially when it comes to larger student groups. At Deerfield Beach you’ll get all the sunshine, soft sand, and salty surf you can, all while surrounded by some seriously scenic views on each side. There are seemingly endless options for fun both in and out of the water here, the beach actually considered to be Fort Lauderdale’s ‘northernmost award-winning cove-like beach’. Enjoy such activities as sand volleyball, sandcastle building, surfing, body sailing, swimming, seashell collecting, or inter-coastal waterway boating. You can take a glass bottom boat tour, get your tan on on the beach, or fish off the famous Deerfield Pier.

Outside of the immediate beach area you can also rent a few bikes to explore the area, or perhaps get some tickets for Ski Rixen, one of the first American cable water ski parks. This place is serious about water recreation fun, allowing you and your group to skim effortlessly over the water with or without a boat, definitely making an experience you’ll never forget! If you work up an appetite here be sure to head to any of the many surrounding al fresco eateries, each providing fresh seafood and the best seats to enjoy the year-round perfect Florida climate, as well as the gorgeous tropical scenery. Packing a picnic on the beach is also a great option to fully enjoy Deerfield!
