Liberty Aviation Museum

The Liberty Aviation Museum's Mission is to provide an adequate organization for historians, aircraft, and vehilce preservationists and collectors interested in encouraging internationally the acquisition, restoration, operation, preservation, public education, and display of historic aircraft, vehicle, and related items.

Welcome to the Liberty Aviation Museum, the museum located at the Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport that displays WWII aircraft, vehicles, watercraft, and more!

This museum was first established in 1991 and has since then grown into a highly popular history-filled spot near Sandusky. While here your group will be able to see various civilian and military vehicles, WWII era watercraft and aircraft, eat at an authentic 1950's era diner and learn all about the importance transportation machinery had during the war.

In Hangar One you will be able to visit Gallery One, filled with civilian aviation, and in Hangar Two you will see Motorpool Military Vehicle Collections and the Ford Tri-Motor Restorations. See the Vintage PT-728 vesper boat, the vintage WWII North American B-25 Mitchell Bomber, and the B-25 "Georgia's Gal", plus so much more.

One of the guests favorite things to do while here is eat in the Tin Goose Diner, a 1950's era-authentic eatery built by the Jerry D Mahony Diner Company. Try the Red Barren Burger or Flyover Omelet while enjoying the fantastic 50's aesthetic throughout. Before you go stop at the gift shop for an educational book or souvenir!
