Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt
First established in 2013, with two additional ducks added in 2015, the Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt is one of the most entertaining, free things to do while exploring downtown Huntsville!
Your group must find all 14 ducks, write their locations down on the downloadable brochure (link below), then return to the Huntsville Visitor Center for a special prize! The entire area in which you will find the ducks comprises a 3-mile walking trail, making it an official 'Healthy Huntsville' activity.
The scavenger hunt 'aims to show off downtown Huntsville's many unique attractions, sights, and activities in a fun and active way', which it does quite well!
Here is a clue example:
Clue 11: A nationally famous poet & artist lived here. They called
her by her middle name, the name of a fellow. Visitors to
her home today still walk under the original fanlight window.
Find the fanlight and you will find this Lucky Duck outside nearby.
