By its name, you might think that San Diego’s Mission Beach would be a manicured stretch of sand on a picturesque coastline but that’s not all. Mission Beach is but one of San Diego’s most California cool, exciting, and utterly lovely neighborhood districts with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and activities to choose from. You’ll never find yourself bored in this postcard-perfect district where Spanish history meets oceanside charm and modern personality.

Much of the attention on Mission Beach surrounds the exciting Belmont Park, one of the top boardwalk amusement park destinations in the country. Here you can find roller coasters, Dole Whip confections, craft brews (for the over 21 crowd), carnival rides, laser tag, and restaurants where you can be served on the beach. Spending an entire day at Belmont Park is easier than you’d think and before you know it you’ll be seeing the gorgeous technicolor sunset over the Pacific ocean.

Outside Belmont Park, you can find the nearby Mission Bay Park and more. This stunning destination is the perfect place to while away an afternoon or even an entire vacation with the beautiful year-long summer sun, refreshing and blue deep sea, and plenty of recreational activities. There’s never a shortage of things to do in Mission Beach.
