National Naval Aviation Museum

Welcome to the National Naval Aviation Museum, located in Pensacola, Florida, near Panama City Beach. This museum is considered to be the world’s largest naval aviation museum, as well as one of the most visited museums in all of Florida. Within this 350,000 square foot exhibition space and 37 acres outdoors your group will find over 150 restored military aircraft, flight simulators, IMAX and X4D theaters, cockpit trainers, and even a "kiddie hawk" play area. This entire complex helps capture the "human element of the enduring history of naval airpower," and it does so quite well! It is easy to see why this is one of the most popular museums in the state, with such a rich history on display of the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation.

Inside and on the expansive grounds you will see historically accurate and one-of-a-kind aircraft, from the NC-4 to the SBD Dauntless. You will see the first aircraft to touch down in Antarctica, Que Sera Sera, as well as the last combat F-14D Tomcat. The exhibits of this museum give you a closer look at machines, people, and events that shaped history in America, and the world in general. See vintage uniforms, historical documents, and dioramas depicting scenes from WWI and Main Street USA in 1943. Be sure to save time to try to sit in on the extremely exciting Blue Angels Experience show at the X4D theater, or if you’re lucky to even one of their practices! If you happen to work up an appetite while here stop by Cubi Bar Cafe, a delicious eatery serving fresh deli sandwiches, salads, and soups. Try the Chicken Pita Pilot before heading over to the Flight Deck store to pick up your essential Naval Aviation souvenirs!
