Founded in 1948 by Lincoln Kirstein and George Balanchine, the New York City Ballet serves as 'one of the foremost dance companies in the world'. This ballet group is full of some of the worlds most talented dancers, choreographers, educators, musicians, teaching artists, and production personnel. Seeing a performance here is truly an unmissable opportunity for lovers of dance, theater, art, and music.

There is an 'unparalleled repertory' here at the NYCB, the dancers athletic and contemporary, the performances diverse and magnificent. One of our favorite things about the NYCB is the programs they offer to groups, students, and the community in general. The art of ballet truly comes alive with the Group Adventures program, where your group can take a backstage tour with an NYCB dancer who will immerse them in the life of a company member and the history of the theater, or meet a musician from the Company’s 62-piece orchestra. Groups can also take a tour of the costume shop and learn about how costumes are created, stored, and ready for performances. For dance groups, students can take a master class or performance workshop with an NYCB dancer.

Whether you want to see a breathtaking rendition of the Nutcracker, want to tour the gorgeous David H. Koch Theater, or you want to show your group the ins and outs of behind the scenes ballet, the New York City Ballet is the perfect stop for you! (Did we mention it's a quite affordable alternative to Broadway?)
