Today, the Rodin Museum is one of the defining icons of Philadelphia, housing one of the most comprehensive public collections of Rodin’s work outside Paris.

Welcome to Rodin Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art offset that holds the largest collection of Auguste Rodin's works outside of Paris. This museum is considered to be 'one of the most revered destinations on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway', and after your visit, you will certainly understand why.

Auguste Rodin was born in 1840 and died in 1917. In those 77 years, he did some of the world's most renowned masterpieces of sculpture, as well as some of the most controversial. Rodin believed that 'art should be true to nature', a philosophy that shaped his attitudes toward models and materials' all throughout his lifetime.

During your visit, you will learn more about Rodin himself as you explore over 150 different bronze, marble, and plaster sculptures throughout the Beaux-Arts building and surrounding garden grounds. If you are with a school group you can request additional teacher resources (we will do this for you) to prepare you for your visit, with curriculum matching courses in French, Language Arts, Social Studies, and of course, Art.

There are a few onsite cafes to grab breakfast, brunch, lunch, or snack in, as well as an onsite food truck! There are group menu options available as well.
