One of the most popular attractions, as well as sobering memorials, in all of the United States is of course Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial. This Honolulu historical gem serves as the final resting place of the many sailors and marines killed on the USS Arizona during the infamous Japanese attack. Here you and your group will be immersed into the intriguing yet melancholy history of the 1941 island attack, a day no American citizen will ever forget. This attraction is the number one visitor attraction in Hawaii, millions of visitors from all around the world taking the time to stop and pay their respects.
While here you will see the memorial floating above the sunken remnants of USS Arizona alongside the WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument, both excellent ways to see and learn all about the attacks and how they affected local life, as well as the lives of thousands of others. Inside, you and your group will see various museums and galleries, memorials, and various tours, including the classic USS Arizona Memorial tour, a 75 minute trek that includes a shuttle ride and stop at the memorial theater. There is also a much longer yet comprehensive tour called Passport to Pearl Harbor, that takes anywhere from 4-8 hours depending on your group’s interests. There are several different Pearl Harbor memorial locations, nine historically connected areas in all.
