Beale Street Music Fest

May 2-4, Memphis, TN

Almost 40 years running, Beale Street Music Fest is possibly the most diverse festival on the list. Spanning genres from classic rock, contemporary country, hip-hop, pop and alternative, this festival guarantees to have something for everyone. Visit the city where rock n’ roll and blues began to see the 2014 line-up, including Kid Rock, Snoop Lion, Joan Jett, Alabama Shakes and Juicy J.

 

 

Sasquatch! Festival

May 23-25, Quincy, WA

You may catch a glimpse of the real Sasquatch while camping in the Washington outdoors at Sasquatch! Festival this Memorial Day. Washington holds up to its reputation as the home of alternative music by featuring 2014 headliners The National, Queens of the Stone Age, Haim and Neko Case, as well as appealing to hip-hop enthusiasts with Outkast, Kid Cudi, M.I.A and Chance the Rapper.

 

Governor's Ball

June 6-8, NYC

The city that never sleeps presents their fourth annual Governor’s Ball on Randall Island, with an eclectic lineup to serve one of the world’s most diverse cities. Along with art installations, lawn games and various dance tents, the Ball boasts a rock-heavy 2014 lineup with Outkast, Jack White, Vampire Weekend and The Strokes.

 

Bonnaroo

June 12-15, Manchester, TN

Come out to Manchester, Tennessee miles away from civilization for a farm-festival experience unlike any other. If you want more than just music, Bonnaroo is the place to be, featuring films, comedians, art exhibits, silent discos, complimentary hair-washing and hundreds of other activities separate from the music. Don’t sell the acts short, though – the 2014 lineup includes Elton John, Kanye West, Jack White, The Avett Brothers and Skrillex.

 

Firefly Music Festval

June 19-22, Dover, DE

Head northeast for a New England festival set in an area properly named “The Woodlands” for the third year of Firefly. Hosting an arcade, hammock hideaway, coffeehouse café, and full brewery, Firefly impresses with more than just their stellar lineup featuring Foo Fighters, Outkast, Jack Johnson and Imagine Dragons.

 

Lollapalooza

Aug 1-3, Chicago, IL

Perhaps one of America’s best-known festivals, Lollapalooza takes over the massive Grant Park for three days of unforgettable music and fun. Stop by Chow Town for Chicago’s best local food, Green Street for local artisan works, or Kidzapalooza for the little ones to have a ball. Don’t miss 2014 acts including Eminem, Outkast, Kings of Leon and Arctic Monkeys.

 

Loufest

Sept 6-7, St. Louis, MO

Just a couple years in the running, Loufest has proved itself to be a new contender in the American festival scene. Featuring a lineup of The Killers, Wilco, The National and Icona Pop in 2013, the 2014 lineup (still unannounced) is sure to please.
