WonderWorks - Panama City Beach
Just down the street on Front Beach Road your group will find your next fun stop, at Wonderworks amusement and "edutainment" park! This 35,000 square foot complex is a true amusement park for the mind, offering over 100 hands-on scientific exhibits, laser tag, a ropes course, and even a 6-D motion ride. Talk about mixing fun and learning, these guys practically have it down to a science (pun intended)! The exhibits throughout this upside-down building are meant to challenge the mind and spark imagination. Speaking of imagination, be sure to save time to learn about the story of how this building came about, a once top-secret lab amid the Bermuda Triangle that got lifted and transplanted upside down to its current location after an experiment gone awry. Luckily for you, all the exhibits and on-going experiments inside are still intact!
Once here your group will get the opportunity to choose between the six different Wonder Zones, including natural disasters, physical challenge, light and sound, space discovery, imagination lab, and far-out art gallery. Besides all these wonderful and diverse sections of learning and playing, there are also the three-story high obstacle course, glow-in-the-dark indoor ropes course, and fast pace laser tag battle arena within a black-lit maze. There is also the new Black Hawk Virtual Army experience and Space Fury 360 vehicle, powered by you! Groups, especially school groups, will love the customizable lesson plans, ranging from earth science to physics and astronomy. After you’ve worked up an appetite head over to the onsite cafe, Snack Shack, on the fourth floor to grab some freshly hand-tossed New York-style pizza or any other concession type foods and drinks.
